Get ready for details overload – I had such a hard time narrowing these down! Tori did a truly spectacular job with personalizing the reception, and her mom added some gorgeous florals to all of the unique centerpieces!
Many thanks to the great vendor team!
From the Bride: “We wanted an outdoor/vintage wedding. The venue reminded me of my late grandmother and I knew it was the one because of that. I think forget-me-nots are a very romantic flower (in name and look) and so the color scheme evolved from forget-me-nots. We have been together for seven years now, and are just thrilled to be officially tying the knot.”
Emily and Kenny’s wedding day was sweet and simple, filled with laughter, tears, emotion, and lots of dancing! It took place at one of my favorite venues – The Willow Tree – and I always love any opportunity to shoot there :) The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony and lantern exit. We were so happy to celebrate this special day with them! Enjoy some favorites from this beautiful wedding day!
A big thank you to the vendor team that made Emily’s dream come to life:
From the Bride: “Our vision for this day grew out of who we are as a couple. Kurt and I love a good adventure, we love the outdoors, and we love time spent with our friends and family. We wanted our big day to represent our interests, our personalities, and of course our lifelong commitment to each other. As a graphic designer and an organizer, I jumped in to planning with two feet! I started a planning binder, spent countless hours on Pinterest, and sketched TONS of ideas. Piece by piece, our vision was formed (and transformed a time or two!). We hoped to create a romantic atmosphere that featured the juxtaposition of natural and refined (i.e. the wild and earthy flowers next to the ornate gold frames). Kurt always offered a listening ear and helpful input, and he even built our custom wooden signs! We owe a huge thanks to our parents for being so generously involved. In my experience, moms are the first to jump in with a list of things that need to be done, and are also the first ones to volunteer their time. Frankly, we’d fall apart at the seams without their constant support. A note to future brides: don’t underestimate your dad’s role in planning. My dad was out scouring thrift stores for vases every time there was a 50% off day, and Kurt’s dad found our venue for us! The planning process was stressful at times, but definitely worth the challenge. It’s the best day of our lives and one we will never forget. And now we begin a new adventure – our life together!”
Cat and Kurtis, it was a joy to celebrate with you two! The details of the day were absolutely stunning, and the dance party at the end of the night was one for the record books! You both bring out the best in each other, and bring so much joy and fun to all those that you spend time with. We loved being able to document your love, and hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from your day!
